THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN CREATING A GREAT PARTY

Lots of different factors will contribute to creating a great party but the key factor to keep in mind when organizing and setting up your party is all about creating energy. The more energy in the room the better the party will be.Energy can be created in a number of different ways but if you think about any great party you have been to the best ones are were where there was lots of energy.Anyone who has been to a concert or dance party or great nightclub will know that the energy level in the room is what gives you a sense of  excitement, happiness but most importantly will make the night feel fun. Some of the key ways to create this energy is by entertaining your guests, giving your guests things to do and creating interaction between your guests.Throwing a dinner party or getting a few friends over for drinks is not the sort of party I am talking about.I am talking about wild and event full parties, parties were things happen not just a bunch of people sitting around talking and eating.
When organizing your party keep in mind one ,how am I going to create this energy and two is it going to be fun for my guests.People forget that creating fun is important and think that by hiring a function venue ,having a few drinks and putting some helium balloons in the room  is going to be fun.Im sorry to say it but more effort needs to be made unless you dont care about your party.
It doesnt need to cost you a fortune for your party, what entertainment you have, decor you choose and other factors can all help in creating the energy you need to create a great party and happy life time memories for you and your guests.
Dont just have a party because you feel you should !

I have been to too many parties over the years or hired equipment to people that obviously dont really care about their party but probably more importantly dont care about their guests.Yes you are having a party in most cases for yourself and probably think that as long as you have a good time that is all that matters but if you really want to enjoy your party it will usually come from seeing your guests have a good time more than anything else.
Too many people throw parties just because they feel they should because everyone else is doing it but cant really be bothered making any real effort.People will probably disagree with me when I say this but your guests need more than " its your birthday" to want to come and stay at your party.Yes your guests if they are good friends and family will come to your party as they love you and want to celebrate your milestone but if you want to keep people there and create the night of your life it requires a bit more than that.
If you cant really be bothered and dont want the fuss, just invite people to go out for dinner or  just have a few drinks at your house or a bar.If you want to create a proper party make a bit of effort and Im sure you will be rewarded if you do it right.

Create an atmosphere that feels like a party

Lighting
Lighting is very important. If it is too bright people will be reluctant to dance. Try and have dull lighting to start with and then make it darker when you want the dancing to start.Mood lighting is always great for setting the mood earlier in the night.
Unless you don’t really want a party atmosphere we strongly recommend that you have some sort of party lighting. People will very rarely dance under normal house lights and we only recommend no lighting for daytime functions.
If you are having a theme you can usually find lighting to help create that theme.Even a basic mirrorball or a few fairy lights is better than nothing. It is always good to be able to change the atmosphere with different lights depending on the time of the night. If you have some coloured party moving lights that you can turn on when you want people to start dancing this will help get the party started.
If you want people to dance, create the right environment and it will turn out to be a night to remember.

Choosing the right venue for your party

How many times have you been to a party where there is simply no atmosphere simply because the venue is way to big. Most people through no fault of there own  have no idea on how much room 100 people will take up.The  amount of times I have shown up to dj at a function and the venue is a massive hall the size of a basket ball court with a few dismall balloons and no heating with 50 people up one end.Smaller venues work better everytime and it is much better to have too many people for your venue than not enough.Bigger isnt always better when it comes to venues for your party.House parties tend to work well in this regard as the area is usually alot smaller so even if the guest numbers are low it can still feel like a good party. It is very important to keep in mind when looking at venues that if you invite 100 people it doesnt mean that 100 people will show up unless it is a formal occassion like a wedding. If you count on about 60% of your invites showing up any more that show up is and added bonus. The more interesting your venue is the better the atmosphere will be.
